Financial Calculator – Annuity problem?
How to resolve the number of periods in an annuity on a financial calculator? (The buttons press) Problem details: Guy wants to retire with 500 thousand dollars for an investment of $ 8,000 per year in the stock market (from the end of this year.) 15% average annual return. How long to save money before retirement: I FV = 500.000 Interest Rate Payment = 8000 = 15 0 N (15%, PMT 8000, PV 0) … This is going 0 .. making sense of the formula (because PV is 0). Now I know the answer is 17 years of guessing, but I need to know how to do this on a calculator. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
