Feedback for Annuities as investments?

I have recently moved funds to an indexed annuity – anyone have experience with this type of investment?

Higher expense, lower returning insurance product. Unless you are in retirement (and maybe not even then), I would never invest in one of these. GREAT COMMISSION for your agent though.
