I keep my pension with Hartford, the value rose from 200,000 to 30,000 with the stock market crash in 2008?
The annuity is my retirement and I AM 68 YRS.OLD.
Why not? Hartford had nothing to do with the accident. It will not rise faster with nobody else in the short term. Unfortunately, the second largest stock market crash in history occurred exactly when you need the money more. Sadly, taking in Hartford at this time would be useless at best.
