Any investment safe with a little more pop, in addition to money market funds?
May soon be the recipient of warrants inhertance good sum of money. I realized that I could live just out of interest from a money market account. However, what will probably happen, and interest probably do is cut a little too close. Are there any other safe investments, with an increased risk little, I can give a little more volatility and a higher return than money market accounts usually do (5%)? Let us consider a period of 10 years., So that stocks are definitely outside the question. Thanks for your help!
My unprofessional opinion is to not put all eggs in one basket. Put a little on what I think of investments as depression and some investment bull market and maybe some in between. This way you always have the funds work for you so you can buy low and sell high almost any time. You should probably do your own research unless you choose to pay someone to do it for you.
